SOFTWARE

We don't use the slide rule, planimeter, or our Rotring pens anymore and have come a long way since. Today, Argonautics Marine
Engineering, Inc. owns a diverse set of software programs to handle the various engineering challenges. Most of these programs are
industry standards. And most programs are maintained and frequently updated/upgraded. Our partial software list includes the
following programs:

MOSES

Bentley Systems' (ex Ultramarine's) MOSES has been the world-wide industry standard for the design and analysis of all types of
structures which float on the ocean since the late 70's. Using MOSES, a model can be created which can be used to calculate the
hydrostatics, stability, and motions in a seaway. Vessel motions can be calculated using either 2-D strip theory or 3-D diffraction
theory. For non-linear systems, a time domain analysis can be performed, rather than a more linear frequency domain analysis.
Before upgrading to MOSES, Argonautics Marine Engineering, Inc. extensively used its predecessors ISAAC and OSCAR.

FEMAP/NASTRAN

FEMAP® by Siemens PLM Software is a professional level pre- and post-processor used for preparing models and viewing the
results of engineering analyses for structural problems. Nastran is a powerful, general purpose Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tool
with an integrated graphical user interface and model editor which is used to analyze linear and nonlinear stress, dynamics, and
heat transfer characteristics of structures and mechanical components. It represents the latest in FEA technology with some of the
fastest solvers on the market along with accurate solutions that have been trusted for nearly 20 years by companies in all industries.

AUTOCAD

Autodesk has been bringing efficiencies to the design process for more than 30 years. Used by millions of people globally,
AutoCAD® software is a world-leading design and documentation solution. Offering robust 3D free-form design tools and powerful
drafting and documentation capabilities, AutoCAD drives design innovation for companies of all sizes in almost all industries.

SOLIDWORKS
Dassault Systèmes' SOLIDWORKS is introduced for complex steel grillage and seafastening constructions that require multiple
views and cross secions. Once the structure model is build, detailed shop drawings with Bills of Materials can be generated.

RHINO-3D
McNeel's Rhino is more and more used for illustrations and complex systems where 3D graphics and renderings better explain the
situation versus multiple 2D figures. The excellent rendering capability of Rhino takes the output plots to a whole new level.

TIDES & CURRENTS PRO

We use Nobletec® Tides & Currents Pro™ for detailed tide information at the various loading and offloading ports around the US.
This detailed tide information is used to optimize the ballast procedures and time the ballasting for critical roll-on/off or skid-on/off
operations.

AUTOTIDE
We use Geomatrix Ltd's AutoTide for detailed tide information at the various loading and offloading ports around the world. This
detailed tide information is used to optimize the ballast procedures and time the ballasting for critical roll-on/off or skid-on/off
operations.

OPTIMOOR
The Tension Technology International Ltd's in house developed OPTIMOOR program is one of the World’s leading and most trusted
mooring analysis software packages.

DESIGN ENVIRONMENTAL CRITERIA

To establish the design environmental criteria for world wide marine transports, an inhouse program based on the BMT's Global Wave
Statistics wave database and the U.S. Navy Marine Climatic Atlas of the World is used. This program generates the design sea
states and wind speed, based on the route, time of year, and average transit speed (exposure time).

MS OFFICE

The Microsoft Office suite is extensively used for reporting, spreadsheet analyses, and presentations.
